The Global Uncrewed Traffic Management Association (GUTMA) has announced two further task forces on the heels of the beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) guidance task force that we reported on last week.
Also supported by GUTMA board member Wing, the Task Force on the Operator to UTM Service Provider Service Level Agreement (SLA) Framework aims to establish a clear framework to define service provider and operator responsibilities for the delivery and operational use of reliable, timely and appropriate third party services.
“The objective of the SLA framework is to outline and provide a formal framework, in the form of a guidance document, to facilitate the partnership between the operator and the UTM service provider,” GUTMA said. The association intends for this document to be used in a global environment regardless of specific implementation.
Meanwhile, the EU Task Force to Develop and Coordinate the Regional EU Pillar in a Global Market will work to develop material to help advise the European Commission and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) on how to accelerate and scale U-space implementation.
The participating members of this task force will produce a final report summarising findings, including a strategic list of recommendations to the European Commission and EASA on how to improve the current U-space situation without a lengthy legislative process and a list of initial priorities to focus on.
GUTMA members are invited to take part in the task forces.
