Gremsy and Nokia Drone Networks form partnership to expand use cases

Gremsy has formed a strategic global technology partnership with Nokia to deliver fully integrated VIO and ORUS L payloads for Nokia Drone Networks, Nokia’s turnkey 4G/5G-connected drone-in-a-box system designed for industrial and public safety use cases.

Both payloads offer advanced EO/IR capabilities, real-time video streaming, and connection over secure 4G/5G networks. Available in the second half of 2025, the integration will support a range of use cases including inspection, mapping and public safety, with further joint drone and payload development planned. Demonstrations in early 2025 have tested the combined system’s readiness for operations.

Thomas Eder, head of Embedded Wireless at Nokia, said the system’s AI-powered analytics have the potential to open up entirely new market segments, from public safety and critical infrastructure to industrial automation and more.
