The African Drone Forum (ADF) has announced that Ghana’s Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations plans to train 10,000 young people in digital skills, including drone operations and logistics.
“The initiative aims to expand local capacity in areas such as flight operations, inventory management, and drone maintenance, with a focus on practical applications in sectors like healthcare and agriculture,” ADF said on May 21.
Prior to the Ministry’s announcement, representatives visited the Zipline Medical Drone Centre in Suhum, where they explored partnership opportunities to scale drone training and workforce development.
“As drone adoption accelerates across Africa, initiatives like this highlight the growing emphasis on building local skills and technical expertise to support sustainable, tech-driven solutions,” ADF said.
