FAA accepts BVLOS commercial delivery application from Drone Express

Drone Express has announced that its Part 135 Application has been accepted by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The certification process involves demonstrating a high level of safety, reliability, and compliance with FAA regulations.

Once fully certified, Drone Express will be able to operate uncrewed aircraft for beyond virtual line of sight (BVLOS) commercial delivery in the United States. The company has nationwide corporate partnerships with The Kroger Company, Papa John’s International, Winsupply, and other retailers

Drone Express recognised the FAA’s newly created AFS-700 branch for its guidance. “While unmanned systems are not a new thing, the certification of an unmanned airline is, and the FAA approached this with great enthusiasm and energy,” Russell Kilne, Chief Regulatory Officer at Drone Express said.
