The United States Department of Homeland Security plans to award a USD 100 million+ counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) technology contract.
In a notice posted on the agency’s Acquisition Planning Forecast System yesterday (August 27), DHS said the purpose of the procurement is to acquire C-UAS capabilities to address evolving threats posed by unauthorised or malicious drones. “These capabilities will support the detection, tracking, identification and mitigation of UAS threats across diverse operational environments, ensuring the protection of critical infrastructure, public safety, and national security.”
DHS expects to award the contract in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, and it is anticipated to be completed by September 30, 2030.
