The US defence department’s Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF 401) has announced that its counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) marketplace has reached initial operational capability.
The online platform, hosted on the common hardware systems electronic catalogue, is intended to transform C-UAS technology acquisition.
“The marketplace streamlines the process for users to identify and procure the right equipment to meet their specific needs, featuring a growing catalogue of validated counter-UAS systems and components, with plans to include performance data from the task force’s authoritative test and evaluation repository,” the defence department said. “It allows customers to compare systems based on real-world performance against a variety of threats and in different environments.”
Army Brig. Gen. Matthew Ross, JIATF 401 director, said the goal is to integrate sensors, effectors and mission command systems into a responsive, interoperable network.
The marketplace is built on an established indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, enabling customers to place orders immediately, thereby reducing the length of the contracting process. The common hardware systems website provides an interface for users to browse available equipment, review technical specifications and compare pre-negotiated contract options.
The marketplace is actively expanding its inventory to include all validated C-UAS equipment not already designated as a programme of record. The common hardware systems electronic catalogue already lists over 1,600 items.
Access to the marketplace is available to users throughout the US defence department and interagency partners via a common access card or other government-issued smart card.

The 2026 Unmanned Airspace Global Counter-UAS Systems Directory is now available. The Guide is the world’s only comprehensive, continually updated directory of global C-UAS companies and systems. It itemises over 1,000 C-UAS products and services with performance details, company sales and partnerships arrangements. It is updated every month and broken down into niche sub-sectors (net-capture, missiles, intercept drones, detectors etc) to give C-UAS procurement and industry personnel a unique perspective of global C-UAS technical capabilities and market positions. It is available in word, PDF and excel formats and Unmanned Airspace readers are eligible for a range of discounts.
