Partner countries have confirmed one of the largest support budgets for Ukraine, totalling USD 38 billion for 2026. An additional USD 6 billion was announced on Friday with USD 2 billion allocated to air defence and an additional USD 2.5 billion to fund Ukrainian drones.
Speaking at the Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting on February 13, Ukraine’s Minister of Defence Mykhailo Fedorov said Ukraine has agreed the funding with several European partners.
Germany confirmed it will fund an anti-drone shield over Ukrainian cities, as well as drone assault units, as part of its approx USD 13 billion budget for assistance to Ukraine.
Norway and the UK are contributing approximately USD 700 million each to air defence, with other countries, such as Turkiye, also providing dedicated air defence assistance.
