Tron Future Tech of Taiwan and Canadian startup AiNOS AI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on drone management, AI defence and smart city innovation.
Under the agreement, Tron Future Tech will contribute its drone detection radars and integrated interception technologies, while AiNOS AI will bring its AI software capabilities from teams in Canada, the United States and South Korea. The companies will build an AI operating system, uncrewed traffic management platform and drone ecosystems.
Initial experimental testing will take place in Jeju Island, South Korea, with plans to extend the technology through Tron Future’s Japan office to support Iwate Prefecture’s smart city initiatives.
The two companies will deepen collaboration in artificial intelligence through AiNOS AI’s Research & Innovation Lab at the University of Toronto’s SRIC campus and the firms’ global academic network.
In other news from Tron Future Tech, the company and Skygaard have signed a purchase order to deploy Tron Future’s drone detection systems in Sweden, with potential for expansion across the Nordic region. Skygaard, headquartered in Stockholm, detects, tracks and counters unauthorised drone flights. Its service includes locating drone operators, neutralising or repelling unapproved drones, and offering 24/7 monitoring, tracking and mitigation.
