SkeyDrone will deploy its drone detection system to help protect energy infrastructure in Belgium, following a multi-site agreement with Elia, a high-voltage transmission system operator. The Belgian high-voltage transmission grid managed by Elia comprises over 8,903 km of overhead lines and underground cables.
SkeyDrone’s modular drone detection system combines specialised software with flexible hardware integration to enable intelligent threat classification.
Elia said it selected SkeyDrone’s system for its intuitive front-end visualisation, powerful analytics, the ability to replay flight paths and identify pilot positions post-flight, and a responsive helpdesk.
