Indian media outlets are reporting that the nation’s air force has defended against a series of drone attacks from Pakistan.
Reports say that hundreds of Turkish-origin drones as well as at least one drone swarm have been defeated in India’s airspace. Daiji World quoted Indian Army Colonel Sofiya Qureshi as saying the rogue drones were either shot down or neutralised through radio frequency jamming.
A separate report by ETV Bharat heralded India’s multi-layered air defence system, which is made up of the Integrated Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Grid, S-400 Sudarshan triumph air defence systems, Barak-8 missiles, Akash Surface-to-Air Missiles and additional anti-drone technologies from India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation. “The entire system is managed by the Indian Air Force’s Integrated Air Command and Control System that connects grid radars, sensors, and command posts through high-speed optic fibre, which enable real-time threat assessment and response,” the article stated.
