Dutch MoD fits drone detection radars to 4×4 vehicles

The Dutch Ministry of Defence is equipping dozens of Ford 4×4 vehicles with radar systems to provide early warning of approaching drones and enable a faster response to unwanted intruders, it announced yesterday.

The systems can distinguish birds and other moving objects from drones.

The Ministry of Defence ordered several radars last year and received the first units in November. The final systems are expected to be delivered before the end of the year.
