Forbes Australia and other national business media report that DroneShield is expanding into Europe with a new manufacturing and assembly facility.
Europe is now the company’s largest export market for counter-drone technology and the expansion is a timely move alongside the European Union’s EUR 800 billion ReArm Europe defence plan.
DroneShield equipment has been deployed in Ukraine as well as across Europe. In October 2024, the company appointed a European counter-drone team.
Forbes reports that the new European facility will include at least 65 percent European content for specific hardware lines, enabling further contracts under local content rules.
