D-Fend Solutions, provider of radio frequency (RF) cyber-driven, non-kinetic counter-drone takeover technology, has today (August 19) launched EnforceAir PLUS.
EnforceAir PLUS is a cyber-driven, multilayer, AI-enhanced counter-drone system comprised of foundational RF-cyber detection and takeover technology, now integrated with auto-calibrated radar detection and optional jamming mitigation. EnforceAir Plus combines these counter-uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) technologies in one compact system to defend the airspace from current and emerging drone threats.
“The system’s ‘SmartAir’ technology fusion engine consolidates cyber and radar data to provide unified situational awareness and a clear and simplified operational picture of each target drone, contributing to more informed and tailored mitigation actions, based on real-time insights and artificial intelligence,” D-Fend said in a press release.
Designed to minimise false positives, the system’s radar detection capability, provided by compact multi-panel solid-state radar such as those from Echodyne, extends threat coverage beyond cyber measures. Additionally, the Smart RF-Effector jamming option within EnforceAir PLUS provides a software-defined RF defensive layer for an escalating mitigation option beyond cyber that’s also adaptable to frequencies that may be encountered in the field.
EnforceAir PLUS has been designed to provide out-of-the-box integration and automated calibration for simplified set-up and use. Its user interface offers a unified view of the target drone, coming from multiple sensor types, and an automated mitigation suggestion engine is activated for each detected drone.
Based on the company’s EnforceAir 2 C-UAS system, D-Fend says existing users have an “easy upgrade path” and are able to layer on all the new capabilities featured in the new EnforceAir PLUS system.
