US Department of Defense awards DRS USD74.8 million counter-UAS contract

The US Department of Defense has announced it has awarded DRS Sustainment Systems Inc., St. Louis, Missouri a $74,864,274 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for rapid development, production, deployment, and support of the Mobile-Low Slow, Small Unmanned Aircraft Integrated Defeat System.

“One bid was solicited with one bid received,” says the department. “Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 30, 2020. Fiscal 2019 research, development, test and evaluation; operations and maintenance, Army; and other procurement, Army funds in the amount of $36,683,495 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-19-C-0006).”
